 Tutoring:

My work with middle school and high school students focuses primarily on completing complex written homework assignments, and writing personal statements for high school and college admissions. I also create custom-built creative writing sessions for young writers. As a former lecturer at the University of Pittsburgh and as someone who spent several years working with young writers in afterschool programs, I’ve had the opportunity to devise prompts and methods that assist young writers in pursuing their individual paths towards becoming successful collegiate-level writers.

Coaching/Editing:

I work primarily with fledgling creative-nonfiction writers, helping them tell their own stories. I’ve edited book manuscripts and coached authors who are preparing for their first publications, whether they are self-publishing or working with an agent and a traditional press. I’ve also assisted experienced novelists and poets who are foraying into memoir and/or short personal narratives, or trying to pull-together their novels or collections. I’ve also helped several young-adult writers establish their portfolios and application essays for MFA programs in  fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

Where are the authors I’ve helped now? Here are a few!

Bella Pollen’s “Meet Me In the In-Between”

Ruth Landy’s “Oma Mina’s Cheesecake”

Dan Richard’s “Outpost”

Tamás David Barrett’s “Gendered Species”

Laura Wayth’s “Breaking Down Your Script”

Don Eyles’ “Sunburst and Luminary”
