What you send here is never sold, and never passed on to anyone else. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to other artists or venues. It is used only to answer you and, if you’d like, to tell you about new dates.

What you send us

Only what you type into the message form:

Like every website, ours also keeps routine server logs (your device’s internet address, the page, the browser), used only to keep the site running and safe, and cleared regularly.

Counting visits

Kristen likes to know how many people find the show, and which pages they read. For that the site uses Google Analytics, which counts visits and gives us totals: how many people came, from which city or country, on what kind of device, and how they found the site. We never see who you are, and we don’t try to find out.

To tell a return visit from a new one, Google Analytics keeps a small cookie in your browser (named _ga). It doesn’t store your internet address, and we have switched off its advertising features, so these visits aren’t used to show you ads. There is no other advertising or tracking code on the site.

If you’d rather not be counted, that’s fine. Outside the United States the site asks before counting anything; anywhere, you can say no or change your mind from Cookie choices at the foot of every page. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, the counter doesn’t load at all. Everything on the site works the same either way.

How it is used

Where it is kept

On the server that runs this site, with a backup copy in a private Google account, and as an email notice to Kristen and to the person who looks after the site. The companies that provide the server and Google’s services hold it on our behalf only; they don’t use it for anything of their own.

The site’s typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches them from Google, as it does on most websites. No cookies are involved.

How long

Messages are kept as long as they are useful for answering you. Mailing-list addresses are kept until you ask to leave the list.

Your choices

Children

This site isn’t aimed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If anything here changes, this page changes first, with a new date at the top.
